The final tournaments of the 2020-21 CNZ tournament calendar, the GC Invitations, were played from the 9th to 11th of April.
Park Croquet Club played host to the Yvonne Yeates Invitation which saw 10 invitees compete in a best-of-three match, single round robin.
In what was a close competition, it was local player, Te Kiri King, who would win the 2020-21 title. King won 8 of his 9 matches with his only loss coming to the eventual runner-up, Paul Kaiser (Manawatu-Wanganui). Kaiser secured 2nd place over John Christie (Thames Valley) thanks to his superior net games (+1 over Christie) after they both finished with 7 match wins.
The Duncan Dixon Invitation being played at New Plymouth Croquet Club was amended to a double round robin due to the adverse weather forecast.
Like with the Yvonne Yeates Invitation, it was a local player playing at their home club that would emerge victorious. John Byres won 17 of his 18 games with net hoops of +43 on his way to claiming the 2020-21 Duncan Dixon Invitation title. Jessica Bullen (Wellington) claimed second place with 12 wins, while Jono Hart (Canterbury) was third with 11 wins.
